Helping the Ghaith Family

Donation protected
On November 17th I received a call from Morristown Medical Center in Morristown NJ. A representative told me that I needed to hold on. She put Rema Ghaith on the line who was crying. Her husband had a heart attack while driving his truck in New York and passed away. She was awakened at 3am by police officers at her door to let her know of her husband's death. She then gathered her four children together and took them to a friend's home in NJ. The friend thought it would be best if they drove her to where her husband was. Her second eldest son elected to accompany his mother. On their way back home they were rear ended by another vehicle that must have been traveling at a high rate of speed. The boy was in the back seat of the vehicle. Both Rema and her son were airlifted to Morristown Medical Center. Rema suffered a head injury and until recently has been in and out of reality. Her son suffered multiple facial fractures and was placed on a ventilator. Thank God no organ injuries. My son and I drove to the hospital on Saturday and even though he could not talk he was alert to the fact that we were there and was communicating thru hand gestures. He could not open his eyes. He has since been taken off the ventilator but he still has a tracheotomy in place and cannot speak as his jaw is wired shut. We Faced Timed each other this past Saturday. Rema should be discharged this Wednesday but her son will have to stay in the hospital. His discharge date is undetermined. Not only has this family suffered the loss of their husband, father and sole provider, but they have been put through this horrible auto accident as well.

Now a little back ground on this family. Rema is the mother of four awesome kids. They range in age from 15 to 2 years. The second youngest child has been diagnosed with autism. Rema takes him to therapy every day. Her husband, Mousa was the sole financial provider of the family. She has no extended family here in Pa. Most of her family lives outside the United States in Jordan. The family is a very kind family that is going through a terrible life changing event. If you can't help monetarily please keep them in your prayers.
