Helping The Boathouse Crew
Donation protected
We are in trying times as The Boathouse at Breach Inlet has closed their doors. I'm trying to raise $50,000 for the roughly 35 employees that work hard for this restaurant. We are an established resturant that helps the tourism thrive on this amazing island. As an employee for the last 17 years we have overcome hurricanes, recessions, many different obstacles that we have fought through. This event is different in the fact we could not brace or plan for this like a big hurricane. I know it's a big number. If I can just get a little money in some of their pockets I would be happy. These restaurant workers come from all walks of life. Mother's, father's, friends, good people that put a smile on their face in rough times. We were not prepared for a federal shut down. Yes we will find work and move forward. Go collect unemployment you say. Yes we will but this is just a chip of the iceberg we have to move. Please do not judge as I am doing this alone for my coworkers I believe in. If you donate every single dollar will go to assist our staffs bills and food. As of now we are all out of work for at least 2 weeks, no workers comp or insurance, in the blink of an eye all while preparing for the best and busiest time of the year. I am asking for donations to ease the minds of all the individuals that deserve help. If it were up to us we would risk contracting the covid 19 to keep working but we all have to do what is right. We have all put our hearts and souls into this restaurant and have hit a dead end. I still believe there is good left in this world, every donation will have it's home on a dinner table for a family. Thank you for your donation. God bless.
