Helping Teresa Recover

Donation protected
Teresa Campbell (Brugerman) was involved in a terrible accident on March 10, 2018, and faces a long road to recovery. She was struck by a train after her vehicle became stuck in a snow embankment. Her injuries are life-changing and she will have to learn new ways to manage day-to-day life tasks with significant physical challenges. Her list of injuries includes a full amputation of her left hand & wrist, a large leg avulsion, and numerous internal injuries. The accident comes at a time when Teresa is starting a new chapter in her life in Montana and does not have insurance coverage. Rehabilitation will easily take months preventing her from working. Despite all this, Teresa is in good spirits and is determined to push through it all.

For many years, Teresa has supported Lake Travis area chambers of commerce and public safety agencies by serving on boards and committees. She has helped raise over $100,000 for local first responder benevolent funds. Her work has also helped purchase vital safety equipment for officers and cover costs for unforeseen personal/medical emergencies that first responders often face.

This GoFundMe account has been created to help support Teresa during her recovery period. Please consider helping someone that has helped so many over the years. Any size contribution is greatly appreciated.
