My name is Shuaib Elhassan. As many of you who know me know, dancing is my passion in life. I started my training at the age of 13. Dance has disciplined me and built me to be the man I am today. My life would never be the same without it.







Born and raised on Manhattan's Lower East Side, an appreciation for the arts was instilled in me at an early age. I grew up alongside passionate people, my neighbors in life inspiring me to push further and follow my dreams; dreams that are now coming true.







Recently, I have been given the opportunity to join Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco as a full-time company member. Being there, working with some of the most talented artists in the field today, will allow me to continue to grow and mature as an artist while sharing my gift with the world. Through this experience, I will utilize my diverse set of skills that have been honed through years of intense training. My technique, my creativity, my strength and my intelligence will all be called upon to achieve my goals.







My first day of contracted work will be August 11th of this year. I would like, with your assistance, to be able to move from New York to San Francisco in July in order to get settled and acclimate myself to what is sure to be an exciting environment. This will not be an easy move but, with the help of my loving family and supportive friends, my burden can be made lighter.
