Hi my name is Les Jevins and I and my colleague Brian Elder are putting our pain thresholds to the test, Wax Off Live! will raise funds for SHARP.

Sharp Life & Learning Skills CIC is an education and day service for vulnerable adults where they can participate in learning or leisure activities of the choice and can learn at their own pace in a safe and friendly environment.

On Tuesday, the 4th of February at 2 pm, we will Facebook live stream Brian and myself having our chests waxed and hair removed in order to raise funds for SHARP. This will help to fund a move to bigger and better premises, we need to raise £60,000 to cover the cost of the move and to complete works that need to be done to make the new building suitable for our use . We hope through this event we can make a big contribution to this.

Brian and myself are aware how painful this process of chest waxing can be so we’re not doing this lightly. We want to make a big impact and raise lots of money to help our learners move to a brand-new building with better resources.

SHARP supports vulnerable adults With learning disabilities, autism, people with mental health concerns and the old and lonely. It’s an amazing place to work and our learners deserve the best. That’s why Brian and myself are putting ourselves through the pain in the hope of raising lots of money for our cause.

Funds will be used to cover the cost of the move and provide alterations and refurbishment to covert the premises for disabled people.
