Helping Rose’s family

Dear friends and family,

Merry Christmas! I hope this finds you doing well. I have a need I’d like to share with you and invite you to help with if you’re able to. During my 2 years in Nigeria one of my roommates was a young woman named Rose who was from Kenya. She came to work for the same non-profit as me. During the 2 years we became good friends and have stayed in touch over the years. This past week Rose let me know she lost her grandfather in Kenya to colon cancer. :( Then yesterday she let me know that her family does not have all the $ they need to pay for his medical bills and burial. Yet each day they don’t pay they are charged more for his body to stay at the hospital. She asked us for help and asked if I would ask my friends and family on her behalf for the help her family needs. The cost of medical care is less than it is here but is still very expensive. 


We sent $ today but there is still  $4,063.00 that is owed for the medical bills and his burial.  

Rose and her family are hard workers. She has a full-time job and 2 young kids (her husband left last year) and her parents are farmers in a rural village in Kenya.
