Helping Ray feel safe in his own home

Ray is a lovely gentleman from Mayhill, a great grandad, bampy and an all round loving family man. 

Ray and his family had the lives turned upside down on Christmas Eve when two men broke into Ray’s home where he’s lived all his life. They kicked their way through the conservatory door and the back door and ransacked his home while he slept in bed. 

The low lives then leaned over Ray as he slept to reach a cabinet onthe other side of the bed. While they were doing this Ray woke up and found himself face to face with these low life scumbags, can you imagine the sheer terror! The terror continued as they then tried to force his wedding ring off his hand. 

Ray is staying with family at the moment until his home is secure with new doors. But after having met the family personally yesterday, my partner wanted to start a fundraiser for a top of the range home alarm system to give Ray themuch needed piece of mind he needs to go home. 

He is a local family man who has been through something no one should have to go through, and after some thought and chatting to a few people he felt this could be our way of helping and letting Ray know how much support he has from the community.
