PigBit Farms is located in a region in Ghana where there is approximately 1 acre of farm land. Richmond, co-founder and owner, was gifted the land by his late father. The land was used to farm pigs. Since the passing of Richmond's father Richmond was only left with the land after an unfortunate incident with members of his family taking the pigs that were left. A primary focus will be spreading the love of Jesus through the way he transacts and does business within the community. His goal is to have a safe place where we can raise the pigs and take care of them until they are ready to be sold. Richmond's journey has been a hard as the land that the pigs were farmed on would have been taken from him if he had not developed it or continued with the pig farm. Now Richmond is able to continue in his fathers legacy as a large pig farmer, on his Father's land and able to provide for his family and surrounding community.
-We believe that we are passionate about helping the community grow through our work ethic and our process to grow/sustain a healthy pig farm
-In everything we do we will honor a moral and code of ethics that will be consistent with values that we believe in
- We are grateful to have the opportunity to farm and thus will provide the same gratitude and humility to our clients
-We are blessed by God and through our Lord Jesus Christ and we intend to bless the community
- We will adopt the newest technology to be implemented in not only the way we transact
-Because we trust in Jesus, we will follow through with every promise
Ask: Richmond looking for donations and investments into the farm to help him grow the farm to approximately 500 pigs. There is roughly about $2000-$3000 amount of improvements that would be needed into the farm regarding cages, roofing, stalls and to add a water application. All funds will be used to complete the improvements as well as the purchase of new pigs and employees to tend to the farm.
PigBit Farms will bring economic stability to the region of Ghana that he is in. With the funds Richmond can employ local workers to tend to the farm with him as well as selling the pigs for restaurants and grocers in the area.
