<div>A few weeks  ago, I suffered a torn calf, blood clots, compartment syndrome, and emergency surgery that nearly cost me my leg. I’ve only just been given the green light to fly again — and instead of stepping back, we decided to step up.

<div>We’re travelling to Norway to take on an extreme cold-water challenge to raise money for a small, local Yorkshire charity that supports people recovering from brain injuries, strokes, and bleeds. These charities often operate quietly, without big budgets or high paid directors  but the impact they make on families is massive.
