Fundraiser in Memory Of Chris Gore

Hi,
Welcome to this fundraiser. We would first like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to visit our GoFundMe and hopefully you will be kind enough to pledge what ever you can to this humble cause.
This fundraiser is put together by the Irelands Gaming Community Faccebook page, for and in Honour of Chris Gore, one of our Valued Members and Friend. Being a true gent in every sense of the phrase, He always had time for people and was a valued member of our Community.
Chris was also a great contributor across the gaming community and always interested in all aspects of gaming and in particular, metal models from the old days and how they are today. He was a fountain of knowledge and would be on hand to help out no matter the query, if he didn't know it he could tell how to sort it.
Being a Soldier and He fought in many theatres having served in Her Majesty's Irish Guard, as you may have guessed from the main picture above and served with distinction, something he was proud of and happy to share his experiences with those he knew around him.
We hoped that maybe he would be with us for this fundraiser in some way, but sadly he lost his fight with Cancer on the 9th of November 2017. This ugly and brutal disease, robbed us of a great Hobbyist and friend, robbed his Kids of a wonderful and caring Dad and robbed his lovely Wife, of a best friend and partner. Chris will be greatly missed, he is a great loss and the world is greatly diminished without him in it, but god willing we will meet again. His memory will live on, burning brightly and fervently in all our hearts, to some especially as they think of him in every model they get hold of, in particular the older metals and ponder what it is? or where is it from? knowing that he would be the right man with the answer.
This humble fundraiser is hopefully going to help out his Family in the run up to Christmas and the year beyond as they come to grips with life without him, hopefully it will alleviate some of the burdens they may be facing at this tough time of year. It may also serve in providing a distraction in some way now that he has left us.
Your pledge is not without reward as you will be honouring Chris in your own way and showing his lovely family what he meant to you and ultimately show that they are not alone in missing him. We have set a target, being a difficult one as in honesty we are not sure how much we will generate but we do know our community is strong and we will always look after our own when honour dictates. Your pleadge will also give you entry to the special activities by which we have many many prizes from painters, companies and from fellow hobbyists who want to honour Chris in any way they can.
