To our Fellow Balfour Family,
Recently one of our own Mr. Jerry Woodson of the Atlanta Division, lost his sister. His sister passed away due to being struck by a motor vehicle. Jerry was his sister's sole caretaker and unfortunately had no insurance or monetary subsidies of any kind where in place to aid in this untimely and unknowingly circumstance such as this.
For those of us who have lost a family member or close loved one, you can attest to the finances that are involved with the just the basic costs of laying someone to rest. For those of you that haven't.....well it's simply absurd with the cost involved and most funeral homes will not proceed forward without payment.
This is where we can help our fellow brother. Jerry has been with some of us for going on 3.5 years now. We were introduced to Jerry from a temp service at the South Forsyth High School Project where he was employed as a gate guard for the duration of the project. When we started the 309 East Paces Ferry Project, we were able to bring him on full time as an official BBC Family Member. Jerry's most recent assignment has been as the gate guard for our Coca-Cola Project here in Atlanta and and also Laboring with our Team at the Ponce City Market Industrious Project. He's a hard worker, loyal, always at work and as dependable as they come. He's a wonderful person, is always smiling, kind and simply a pleasure to be around. He's one of our own.
We'd like to extend a small token for our brother in need during such an incredibly difficult time in he and his family's life both emotionally and financially. $5,$10, $20 or whatever you can donate could go a long way to be a blessing to our BBC family member. Even if you aren't able to donate, a simple handshake, prayer or word of encouragement once he returns would go a long way. Thank you all in advance for your consideration.
