Helping my King

Donation protected

Before anyone reads this, just know... I do not have children, therefore my dogs are my kid’s. I would do whatever I could to help them, just as I would any other family member.

They say God’s timing is always perfect, and that couldn’t be more true.

King came into my life at a time where I probably needed him the most. He’s 7 months old and one of the happiest dogs I know. Sydney and Princess love their brother!

Over the course of the last week, King has been to the vet 4 times. Within 8 days! That’s a lot for a puppy that has such a wonderful life ahead of them.

It all started on the Saturday, May 2nd... King had a seizure and quit breathing on the way home one day. Brought himto an emergency clinic and they told me it was a seizure. But it was odd and unexplainable for an  otherwise healthy pup. They released him and we were told to follow up with our vet.

Friday, May 8th...Boogs had his follow up and our vet didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Confirmed what the emergency clinic said.. it was just a “freak” thing. Keep an eye on him and come back with any problems.

Yesterday, May 10th..Happy Mother’s Day! We got to spend the day with my mom and my brother and his little family. All the pups, King included, played til they wore themselves out. King and I came back home and I noticed he was acting funny. He was walking like he was drunk and overall just out of it. We went to another emergency vet and they kept him overnight. Exams lead them to think it is neurological and I would need to continue with a treatment plan outside of the emergency clinic.

Today, May 11th.. King and I just left the vet in Lake Charles and it’s not looking good. It is definitely neurological and she referred him to a specialist. Hewill be going to LSU in Baton Rouge soon. It’s either his brain, or an infection in his spinal cord. Either way, he’s going to need an MRI & a Spinal Tap.

I am prepare to do what I have to in order for him to have the best life he possibly can. I am prepared to deal with whatever it is that is wrong with him. I just need to know in order to help him. It’s the unknown that is killing my nerves.

I am not asking for a handout. Your prayers are more than enough. I am just asking for everyone to share this. King is such a good baby. He’s kind. He’s lovable. He’s laid back and sweet. He deserves to see this specialist.

If you find it in your heart to donate, please know this money will not be misused. Furthermore, anything left over will be donated to local animal shelters. ❤️
