Helping my cousin Katherine Ryan

Donation protected
Let me tell you about my cousin Katherine. She is independent, brave, generous and kind. She loves her "peeps" animals and people with her whole heart. She is focused, does nothing half way, and works extremely hard. On Saturday, September 9th, 2017 around 11am while riding her horse Eli, she fell. The fall was devastating. She badly broke her right leg at the hip (which requires surgery) and broke her left arm at the shoulder. The EMTs responded and transported her to Beverly Hospital for evaluation where they recommended a hip replacement. She was then transferred to Beth Israel for further evaluation and treatment. After an agonizingly painful 24 hours + of waiting for evaluation. The Orthopedists recommended that she undergo surgery to repair her right femur and stabilize the leg with pins. The shoulder has been treated and stabilized  but may require further treatment. She will be in the hospital another 3 days or so then will go to a Rehabilitation hospital to start the long road to recovery. As you might know, Katherine owns her own Counseling practice and is a dedicated counselor to her clients. During the next 2 months (possibly longer), she will not be able to drive, or get around on 2 feet. Her shoulder injury compounds this recovery and will make it difficult for her to use crutches. Her situation is dire but not desperate. Katherine has many caring and loving friends and family members. She will need their help in the days and months ahead as she heals. Because she owns her own business she will be unable to work for an undetermined period of time. If I know Katherine at all, she will find a way to be back with her clients sooner probably than the doctors recommend. The intial costs of her medical bills are substantial right now as well as the time she will be unable to work. If you would consider contributing $25, $50 or $75 (really any amount) to help her defer some of the cost it will help greatly. She is proud, fierce, and determined and I know how hard it is to ask for help. But financial help is really needed right now. Please rally to support this caring and compassionate person who lives her life to the fullest. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
