Helping Melanie Get on Her Feet

On November 13, 2017, Melanie lost the love of her life, and my brother, Derek, to a sudden and unforeseen lung disease called pulmonary hypertension, and the cause is yet to be confirmed. 

Derek was going to propose to Melanie in the coming months. He had just sold his condo and they moved into a bigger apartment together in the city 3 weeks before his death.

Derek and Melanie were starting to build their life together, and then this tragedy struck. Not only did Melanie lose her best friend and soul mate instantaneously, but she incurred bills that only they could cover together with both of their incomes.

Melanie will need to find new place to live before January 15, 2018. She’ll need to pay for movers, a move out fee, and begin paying her new rent.

We know Melanie would not want us asking for help, but knowing all that she’s going through, she deserves it.

Any donation, $10 or $15, will help in getting her back on her feet and in a good position to find her new normal.
