Mathew’s road to Recovery

Donation protected
Mathew is a hard working,  determined young man. He is a father, a brother and a son. To me he is a cousin who will always be referred to as a brother❤️

On July 19th 2018, Mathew went to work like any other day. Unfortunately it would end in a fight to save his life and legs! He was moving a genie lift along the road when he was struck from behind by a 1 ton truck.  He was crushed in the basket of the genie lift and had to be removed by the jaws of life. He was flown to VGH where it was determined Mathew sustained head trauma, as well as losing most of 1 leg and compartment syndrome in the other. He has undergone 4 surgeries, however his leg function is still very limited and his head injuries are the cause of painful headaches, dizziness causing nausea and the inability to focus. It will take months for him to walk unaided and although he is fighting hard it comes with copious amounts of pain. I am asking that we join together and help make his road to recovery a little less stressful. Mathew is missing his little girl Remy, and his Fort St. John family and is eager to be home, and independent once again.
