Helping Marshmellow, fighting chance
Donation protected
Hey there, it's Jude.
I am hating to have to put this ask out, asking for financial help is never easy, especially during challenging times. But here I am.
Marshmellow, our 4-year-old cat, is more than just a pet—he’s a big-hearted presence at The Beaumont Studios. He’s a source of joy for our guests, many of our resident artists, my family, and so many in the community adore him.
Sadly, he fell very sick last week, and after several vet visits, my savings and finances have been devastated.
It began with lethargy and vomiting, and now he’s unable to keep food down. So far, we’ve been through four vet visits, including an emergency visit for blood work, x-rays, and medications. He’s now on a feeding tube and back in the hospital because he’s still struggling to eat.
The next steps are an endoscopy and likely surgery, as the ultrasound has shown there may be a blockage between his stomach and intestines. It could be worse and be cancer, but they can't say on either of these things until they get inside him.
Breakdown of Costs:
$500 – Emergency visit to Mountainside Clinic
$500 – Blood work and x-ray at Hemlock Veterinary
$2,200 – Atlas Hospital (feeding tube, ultrasounds, and meds)
$1,600 – Endoscopy
$2,000 – Surgery
Unknown – Potential further costs
This is hard to ask, but I keep being reminded that Marshmellow is more than my cat—he’s a community cat, loved by many. My savings are depleted, and I want to give him the best chance to make it through this.
A few dollars from many would go so far, vs, all of it on me, If you feel moved to help, please do. The thought of losing this special cat, who has touched so many lives at Beaumont and in the Mt. Pleasant community, is heartbreaking.
Thank you for considering supporting on this journey to give Marshmellow a fighting chance.
Thank you,
Jude
