Helping Mahmoud And His Five Year Old Daughter Escape Gaza

This is the very first time in my life that I'm making a gofundme page, and it's not for me, but for someone else. All the money that will be collected on this page will go to Mahmoud and his five year old daughter Reem, to help them escape from the war in Gaza.

Mahmoud and Reem sleep in a tent. Every night when they sleep, they have the risks of bombs falling near them (although, that risk is not just at night, but also during the day).

Food, or rather, the lack thereof, is an other thing. And when they have a little bit food, Mahmoud always first gives that to his daughter, even though he is also starving, but because she still needs to grow. He just wants to be able to give his daughter anything she needs, and right now it breaks his heart, that he can't do that right now.

But that is not the main goal of this gofundme page. He just wants to be able to live a normal life again, and to be safe again and to be able to live in peace again, and to heal.

Mahmoud still has his daughter Reem, but he lost his wife, Hanen, his oldest son, Ibrahim (10 years old), and his daughter Salwa (4 years old). And he, and other people consider him lucky, because he still has his daughter. There are also children who do not have any parents anymore. Mahmoud told me that he is also planning to buy some food and clothes for those children. He also told me that luckily those children still have relatives though.

And to get some money, to be able to buy a bit food, he needs to do dangerous work. And if something would then happen to him, his daughter would end up alone. But he needs the money, because he needs to be able to buy food.

Mahmoud's main goal is to get himself and his daughter to safety, and out of Gaza. And he told me that Reem also needs eye surgery.

And the reason why he can't make a gofundme page himself, is because Israel is not in the list of countries to choose from, when to click on in which country you want to withdraw the money. And I just want to help him. I am Laura van der Wal, and I am a friend of Mahmoud. And I already said it, but I will say it again: every single euro that gets donated on this page, will go directly to Mahmoud.

And also: every little bit helps. Even if you "only" donate 1 euro, that is still 1 euro, and hundred 1 euros together.. is not a little bit anymore, let alone thousands. So please, share this pace to anyone who has a heart and who you think that wants to donate 1 euro. Thank you! :)

How the funds will be spent: on food, clothes, and transport out of Gaza.

How I plan to get the money to Mahmoud: I will first wire the money to a local person in Gaza City, he will wire the money to an other local person, from the city of Khan Yunis, and that person will wire the money to Mahmoud.

Big update: Earlier today I was testing to get 10 euro to Mahmoud (from my own bank account, not from the gofundme page, because it was just a test), and it worked! :3
