<div>Hello my name is Tanya Lawson and I’m a huge animal lover and have many pets of my own. For anyone who knows me knows I am always doing whatever I can to help any animal out there rather they need a new home, or need to be nursed back to health, and this goes for domestic and wild animals. I can’t count how many times my daughters and I have spent our time getting up every 2 to 3 hours around the clock to look after a baby animal until it is ready to be released back to the wild or welcomed a new domestic animal into our home that found themselves homeless that either stayed with us as a permanent resident or as a soft landing until we found them the perfect permanent home. This is a more extreme scenario for us so we have decided for the first time to start a GoFundMe page to help us. Please take a few minutes to read our story.

<div>Lucifer’s Story
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About a month ago, a stray cat began hanging around our home. We’d see him often, and he slowly became a part of our days. On Thursday, October 2, everything changed — he was attacked by a fox. Somehow, this brave boy managed to drag himself back onto our deck, badly injured but alive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve since named him Lucifer — our little fighter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That night, we cleaned and wrapped his wounds as best we could until we could get him to the vet in the morning.

<div>The Emergency Vet Visit
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Friday, October 3, we took Lucifer to Stirling Veterinary Services on Wilson Road, who have been absolutely incredible in helping him. The injury was much worse than we’d hoped:
</div>
<div>•	A large portion of his femur was exposed,
</div>
<div>•	His muscle was torn, and
</div>
<div>•	His leg was fractured at the hock.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The vet performed emergency surgery to close the wound and placed a splint to support his leg while it heals. On October 6, Lucifer returned for a follow-up and bandage change — so far, he’s holding on strong.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He’s now on antibiotics and pain medication, and we have all the supplies needed to re-wrap his leg every few days while he recovers at home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During his first visit, the vet team also treated Lucifer for fleas, ticks, and tapeworm, and even neutered him — all free of charge. Their generosity and compassion have meant the world to us, and we’re beyond grateful for their kindness.

<div>Life During Recovery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lucifer is estimated to be around two years old. He can’t support his own weight yet, so he’s living in a large crate for rest and safety. Several times a day, we help him stand in the litter box so he can go to the bathroom comfortably.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s a lot of work, but he’s worth every bit of it. His healing will take 6–8 weeks, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the best chance at a full recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve tried to find his owners, but no one has come forward — so for now, Lucifer is part of our family. ❤️

<div>How You Can Help
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So far, Lucifer’s vet bills have reached $1,902, and he will need ongoing care and follow-up visits.
</div>
<div>We’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover his medical costs and ensure he continues to get the treatment he needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every little bit helps — even $5 makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please share Lucifer’s story so others can help this brave little soul heal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who has reached out, supported, or sent kind words — and a huge thank-you again to Stirling Vet for their compassion and generosity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Follow our updates here to see Lucifer’s recovery journey — we’ll post photos and progress as he continues to heal.

<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping Lucifer get his second chance at life.
