Helping lonely, elderly people during the pandemic

2020 was a very tough year for many, especially the elderly. We all hoped that 2021 would be a much better year, but as Boris Johnson has just announced another 6 week lockdown, it isn't looking good. There are nine million lonely people in the UK and four million of them are older people. Many older people find constant loneliness hardest to overcome as they lack the friendship and support we all need. I saw how upset my grandparents looked when our Christmas plans were cancelled, and again when this lockdown was announced. It was the most heartbreaking sight and so many are in the exact same position so please could you donate whatever you can to an amazing charity.
