Jonah Handler the loss of his mom, Stacie Fang

The Surfside building collapse in Miami, Florida, was incredibly tragic.

They say that time heals, but I can assure you, it is a difficult one to experience a building collapse in your mother's arms, being rescues as a miracle, and watching your mother pass at any age.

We wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of love they have shown to our entire family during this extremely difficult time. It is difficult.

As her cousin, we were close and at times she was raised by my Mom.

The loss of a family member is never easy, but the unexpected loss due to a tragedy makes it so much more incomprehensible.

We wanted to provide you with an update on the tragic loss of our beautiful Stacie Fang and the miracle survival of her son, Jonah.

Time tries to heal, but it sure works slowly.

We were able to lay Stacie to rest, next to her parents of beloved memory, Leo and Lorraine.

For Jonah, we are appreciative for all the love and support shown by family, friends, community, and those near and far.

It has already made a tremendous impact in coping with this tragedy.

With that said, this will be a long road of healing ahead…

Stacie had financial plans to help Jonah in his journey, but unfortunately, those plans will be very difficult to achieve, especially with all of the unexpected expenses for Jonah as a result of this tragedy and learning how to deal with this terrible loss.

The family is attempting to fulfill Stacie’s wishes, and created a fund which is solely for the benefit of Jonah and his journey.

It will be used to help him, as he deals with the tragic loss of his beautiful mom.
