<div>Joey is 33 years old and was diagnosed this March 2024 with cholangiocarcinoma (a very rare- aggressive bile duct cancer). Prior to him getting sick, he worked a full time night shift position and cared for his 3 children during the day.
</div>
<div>Joey has always been a hard worker and prioritized his beautiful family (Kayla, Isabella, Liam &amp; Giada).
</div>
<div>HE IS SUCH AN AMAZING, ADMIRABLE PERSON.
</div>

<div>Right now, because the cancer tumor in his main common bile duct is advanced and very involved with the artery, it is not safely operable. Its location also inhibits liver function. He does not currently meet strict and specific criteria for a donor liver transplant.
</div>
<div>Plans right now, after second opinions and consults with specialists, is to first start chemotherapy and see if it is possible to shrink down the bile duct tumor- as long as the liver stays stable enough, the liver’s needs will be addressed secondary.
</div>

<div>So far he has had numerous testing, stents, strictures, biopsies, liver drains, and chemo port placement.
</div>

<div>*The goal of this fundraising page is to help Joey and his family keep afloat financially while they fight through this difficult time (funds will go directly to Joey for out of pocket medical expenses and income deficits for costs of living).
