Honduras, along with several Central American countries, has recently suffered from the catastrophic effects of Hurricanes Eta and Iota. I am a teacher at Hayfield Secondary School, and my incredible students have organized donation drives to collect clothing, medicine, food, and monetary donations to help with shipping costs. In two Sundays alone, they were able to raise enough money to send six large boxes of items to Honduras. They still have a basement full of donations to ship but need help with shipping costs. Each very large box of donations costs $270 to ship to Honduras. Your monetary donations, no matter how small, would go directly towards the cost of shipping the boxes of clothing, medicine, food, and other donated items to Honduras. We have already received notice that six of the boxes have arrived to Honduras to the Lion's Club in San Pedro Sula. You can rest assured that your donations will arrive and will be properly distributed because my student's godmother is the president of the Lion's Club in San Pedro Sula.
At a time when it's so hard to physically go out and serve people in need, this is a way to safely serve in a meaningful way. Your donation will go a long way to help with the shipping costs for this very important cause. Every donation no matter how small will be a tremendous help for this cause. To learn more about this cause, check out this news story they were featured in on NBC: News Story. Thank you so much for your support!
