Helping Gilbert’s Heart

Gilbert started having chest pains Friday night May 12 we just thought it was heart burn. So he took some tums and we went to bed. Saturday May 13 the pain had gotten worse not knowing what it was he had been out moving trucks and cleaning the yard. He finally came in and woke me up and said the pain had gotten worse I texted my mom and said I think Gilbert is having a heart attack. Something told my mom to get dressed and to come to my house and she did and thank god she did. She put her hand on gilbert who had stopped talking and was kneeling on the floor by now dripping sweat. She said Kimberly you don't ask a patient if they need to go to the hospital you call 911. My mother did just that. The paramedics came in and we're just amazing people they just jumped right in and took care of him rushing him away to the Columbus ER where they continued working on him getting him stable. They got him stable enough to rush him to Billings were they took him straight into to have a pump put in to start pumping his heart until he was stable enough for surgery. So on Sunday Mother's Day Gilbert was rushed into Surgery for a double bypass surgery. Gilbert is only 38 years old a loving husband a father of three. He has always been known as the muscle if you need something done he would jump up and do it. Gilbert was in the hospital a long time and ever time we went to be released something would happen and they would keep him. The day before we were finally released we got bad news his heart function was 25% he has congestive heart failure. His heart took a huge hit. The news just keeps getting worse on his follow up appointments we were rushed back to the ER he had an infection in the sack around his heart. His follow up after that with the congestive heart failure specialist his heart is up to 30% function but if it doesn't increase by his next appointment on 8/14/2017 they are going to put a defibrillator in his chest and start the process of getting him on the heart transplant list. I am the only one working and we are just drowning with medical bills and all of our other bills. Please find it in your heart to help Gilberts heart. Thank you for everything. God bless you
