Helping Hawkins

My 15 month old nephew, Hawkins, fell and bumped his head yesterday. After being examined at the emergency room in Springfield they discovered a small fracture on his skull and a small hematoma. The blood clot was in a very dangerous spot putting pressure on his brain stem. The pressure kept increasing and they had to act fast. They air lifted him and his mom Teresa, to OHSU where he underwent emergency surgery. Teresa and Hawkins dad, Brad, are great loving parents who have endured a rough time. My sister, teresa is taking time off work to be with him in the hospital. Brad and other family members drove up to Portland yesterday. Although insurance will help cover some of these costs, there will still be a lot to compensate including travel expenses, doctor bills, co-pays, lost wages, etc. She would never ask for help but many of us, myself included, are offering and wondering how we can help.
