<div>Hi, my name is Eva and I had the pleasure of being Harrison's teacher for 2 years. I have known Harrison's family for over 15 years. At just 17 years old, Harrison, a Year 11 student at St Bede’s Mentone, has had his whole world turned upside down after what was supposed to be a fun night out with school friends resulted in a tragic accident. Harrison suffered a fractured skull, broken sternum and a spinal cord injury that has left him paralysed from the chest down.

<div>Anyone who knows Harrison can vouch for his passion for life. He’s the kind of young man who is always active, smiling, and there for his family and mates when they need him. Whether it was on the basketball court, at school, his job at the local pizza shop or spending time with friends and family, he brings energy, determination, and kindness everywhere he goes.

<div>Basketball has always been one of his favourite interests. Playing for the Parkdale Pacers and Coastal Royals. Basketball isn’t just a sport to him it is his passion, his escape, and a huge part of who he is. Now, instead of training, playing, and planning for the future, Harrison is facing many challenges and a new way of life.

<div>His family is staying strong through every heartbreaking moment, but the emotional and financial pressure is enormous. The road ahead will include intensive medical care, rehabilitation, mobility equipment, home modifications, and ongoing support as they adjust to this life-changing event.

<div>We are asking our community, friends, family, classmates, teammates, and anyone who can help to rally around Harrison and his family during the hardest time of their lives.
