Helping Hand for Hook Line & Sinker

Donation protected
Like me, I am sure that you have watched the massive devastation of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands caused by Hurricane Irma on September 10th.  The category 5 storm made a direct hit on the island causing extensive destruction of local homes and businesses.  Without basic needs like electricity, food and water many of the local residents are seeking comfort within their local community.  Throughout the past 30 years, Findlay High classmate and longtime friends Becky (Laub) and Ted Luscz, owners of the Frenchtown restaurant, Hook Line and Sinker, have unselfishly provided help following hurricanes disasters to their fellow islanders—who they consider members of their extended family.

This time we want to lend them a hand as they reach out to their community in the Virgin Islands.

The restaurant fared pretty well in the storm emergency but Becky and Ted need our help to get things up and running.  Your donation in the next few weeks will help get the restaurant equipped to sponsor a community dinner that brings folks together at this vital time.  The funds will be accessed directly by Becky and Ted and any additional funding will help sponsor more community activities—Becky, Ted, and the Hook Line and Sinker crew are our local link to the people of the island and offer a way for us to contribute to the victims of this catastrophe in a personal and meaningful way.
