Help Dan Venteicher Defeat Cancer

This campaign is set up to help support Dan Venteicher and his family during this challenging time. Dan is one of the hardest working farmers I know. He and his sweet growing family deserve our support. 

Here is a message from Jamie:

Hello friends and family,
Dan and I wanted to share a recent update. Dan had been having some lower abdomen pain for a few weeks and it finally got bad enough that he decided to go to the doctor. We were thinking it was most likely a hernia, but it turns our doctor is pretty certain that it is testicular cancer. A CT scan revealed swollen lymph nodes which means if it is cancer, it has metasticized. After surgical removal a biopsy will determine if it is cancer. If it is, we will be discussing chemotherapy treatments. As you can imagine, this is quite the blow for our young and growing family. The prognosis is good and for that we are very thankful. I am obviously worried about him, but Dan is more worried about how is he going to get the planter ready, plant corn and keep the cows milking as he is in a lot of pain and will need awhile to recover after surgery. So we need prayers in that aspect of life too.   Surgery is not yet scheduled, but doc is pulling strings to get him in asap. We are worried about finding help with chores since Richard (Dan's dad) just had a knee replacement. If you know anyone interested in milking cows, please let us know. We are pretty desperate. All in all, we are in good spirits and have faith that God will carry us through this. - Jamie
