Helping family after Dorian

Donation protected

Faithful Friends and Family,

Thank you again for your support through encouragement, finances, and prayer. I know that your great kindness will make all the difference in the world to my family’s recovery and rebuilding.
Hearing their voices after the hurricane and knowing they were alive has been the best sound I could ever hear in my life! I am so grateful! And I thank you for your extreme generosity now in their time of need.

The funds donated during the first 24 hours have already wildly exceeded the goal I first set of $5,000 and they will be a huge help in their safe return to the states, their recovery, and in acquiring the necessities to thrive once they return.

Their boat/home, Faith, has amazingly been confirmed floating, but with severe damage - no mast or sail and a hole in the hull. The engine that caused them so much delay before before the storm now seems to be kicking. My father Eric plans to tie Faith up safely and/or find a way to transport her to a new location, saving their home if possible.

I am currently in Nassau Bahamas awaiting their arrival and putting things together to make them as comfortable as possible until they can evacuate. Still very little contact; phones only allowed us to pass tidbits of information, a minute or two at a time, to help coordinate these details. There are still many unknowns.

As you do know, my family’s heart is in missions and in serving others through faith in our Heavenly Father. To help continue their mission to these islands, I’ve increased the goal of this campaign to $20,000. These additional funds will go directly to the immediate needs of the very people who have lost so much while sheltering my family from Dorian. These funds will buy supplies for survival, cleanup, rebuilding, and whatever else is in dire need to these people in Man O War Cay. Many of them did not have a second thought when it came to helping my family in their mission and in their survival. They freely lended their homes, communion, and life experiences in the seas of Abaco. These additional funds will now help them through their time of dire need. I plan to update you here as those needs are met.

Thank you again to all of you who have been with my family every step of the way in Faith’s unbelievable journey. And deepest thanks to all of you who have so recently responded to help us recover and continue in Faith.

Category 5 gratitude fills my heart!
