Helping Easton's Fight

Donation protected
My nephew Easton was diagnosed with a brain tumor called Anaplastic Ependymoma in November 2015. Since then he has had multiple surgeries including two major brain surgeries. Sadly they were not able to remove entire tumor. Over the past 19 months he has also under gone chemotherapy, radiation and was in two clinical trials. He was on incredible amount of medication and a feeding tube. Due to be all of this he also lost his ability to walk. In March of 2016 we found out that the tumors had spread through his entire central nervous system and he was given 6-12 months left with us. Easton then proved everyone wrong and took a turn for the better. He learned how to walk again no longer needed the feeding tube and was down to 2 meds a day. He played Tball this past spring and began going to preschool at Radix. About 6 weeks ago he started complaining of pain in his lower back and we found out his tumors were growing at a very rapid pace. 10 days ago we went into CHOP for vomiting and to get a better pain plan going which turned into a 2 night stay. While we were there Easton stopped breathing and was moved to the PICU. It was then explained to us that due to the swelling on his brain from the tumors his brain is not telling his body to breath all the time. He started breathing on his own again and has been ever since. We made the decision to come home on hospice. It has been a very long and heartbreaking almost 2 years and a whirlwind of two weeks. Easton's dad, my brother in law, is also no longer working so he can stay home with my sister, Easton and their other two children. The most important thing we have right now is spending precious time with Easton. We thank all of you for your incredible generosity and support during this difficult time.
