Helping Dallas Homeless Vets Create A Better Life

We are three college students at the University of North Texas enrolled in a social entrepreneurship course who want to make a difference in veterans' lives. All three of us have ties to the military as one is going to commission into the Air Force soon, one has a fiance in the Air Force and both of her parents were in the Air Force, and another student's mother and other family members are in the military. Who wants to help us make a difference in the lives of the veterans who served our country that are in need of help?

We are looking to raise at least $500 to benefit the Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas Inc (HVSD) as any donation will greatly make an impact. We plan to campaign to help HVSD purchase supplies such as clothing, hygiene products, and other basic necessities one will need.

Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) that provides programs that help veterans find jobs and ways of getting active in the community. HVSD also provides programs for veterans struggling with mental health such as suicide prevention programs, counselors, and mentors. Here is their website: https://www.hvsd.org/  .
