Helping Children in Vadodara,India

This project is led by a couple of student in the group Global Citizens from International School of the Stockholm Region.
One of our aims with this project is to help out orphans from the Don Bosco Snehalaya orphanage. Don Bosco Snehalaya has done great works for children who are not fortunate enough to get an education and learn skills we take for granted such as reading, writing, using a computer and much more. We have been working with the orphanage for six years and with the money we raised, we have accomplished great works such as helping them with repairing their roof and even giving two orphans the possibility to attend college.
Our second aim is to help the village Bhayli which is located on the outskirts of Vadodara. In the past years, we have provided them with electricity and biogas toilets.
We started to raise money this September and we keep on raising it until February since that is when we travel there and visit the orphanage and the village to document the work we do with the money raised.
In order to raise money, we host events in our school such as bake sales, lotteries, painting portraits, and much more.
Unfortunately, these events are not enough by their own and we need donations in order to reach our goal, which is to change the conditions and give the less fortunate a chance at life.
This year we have set our goal to 12,000 SEK (approximately $1500).
Any donation will have a huge impact on the way to our goal. With the help of your donations, we will be able to change lives.
