Helping Children in 26.1 miles

One year ago I got news from my doctor that I did not want to hear, and as we talked about options I asked if I changed my habits and exercised and ate better if she would give me a few months before she insisted I begin taking medications for type 2 diabetes.  She cautiously agreed.  I completely change my eating habits and began walking each day.  In the past year I have lost 90 ponds and now run 3-5 days per week.  I have decided to use my new found lease on life as a way to help and encourage others.  In the past few months I have ran races to support organ and tissue donation, cancer  research and college scholarships. today I signed up for the Columbus Marathon sponsored by Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus Ohio.  My goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Team, "In Memory of Mila Elaine".
