Helping Cassie Sterling

To know Cassie is to love her. She is the type of friend who is always there at a moments notice, to help in any way she can. That’s why we have decided to create this campaign, as a small way to give back to the woman who selflessly has helped so many of us. Recently, Cassie’s wife, Sonja, underwent surgery that left her unable to work for several months. In a crazy turn of events, while Sonja was in surgery, Cassie began having medical complications of her own, resulting in a trip down to the emergency room. Since then, Cassie has been suffering a series of debilitating migraines along with additional trips to the emergency room. After a series of tests, it was determined that Cassie is in final phase of bone decay with osteoarthritis, and her vertebras have bone spurring and are beginning to fuse together. The combination of these spinal issues have now stated to cause neurological issues. This will require a pretty extensive treatment plan well in excess of $6,000. Cassie has been restricted from working almost entirely, due to the sudden onset of her symptoms. Being self-employed with no disability benefits has left Cassie and Sonja no other option but to use their savings to pay bills, purchase food and take care of their fur babies.
