Helping Cactus' Family

Donation protected
30 years ago, Cactus Warner was leading the Norman County West Panthers Boys Basketball team to its first and only Minnesota Class A State Championship.

On February 19th, while driving from his home in Wyoming to attend the Championship Reunion Celebration in Halstad, MN, and to visit family, Cactus was involved in a very bad car accident outside of Fargo, ND.

He was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center where it has left him with a broken pelvis, broken ribs and a broken leg.

Cactus' wife, Kathy, and children all live in the southwest part of the U.S. and are making plans to fly to Fargo to be with their husband and father.

It is unknown at this moment what his treatment and recovery will entail, but the initial path looks to be one of many months.

Please pray for Cactus' complete healing and for his family to arrive safely. If you would like to help with the family's unexpected travel expenses, please feel free to donate here. Any donations will go directly to his family to help cover travel and medical expenses.

For those who know Cactus, basketball was one of his passions and brought him many accolades through his playing and coaching career.

For those who don't Cactus, any one his former players would say that he not only taught them the game of basketball, but instilled attributes and life lessons that they can hand down to their children and grandchildren.
