Helping Bill and Marisa

While on vacation with his family, Bill had a serious snowboarding accident in Colorado in January. He was transported to a trauma hospital in Denver and spent several days in ICU with seven broken ribs, a broken scapula, and a partially collapsed lung. 

Once cleared from the hospital, and since he could not fly due to his condition, Bill and Marisa took a 48 hour train ride across the country to get back home. They were picked up at Amtrak's Philadelphia station by Franklin Township Soccer Club (FTSC) friends and are now home where Bill is resting and Marisa is catching up with life while taking care of Bill.

We'd like to collect some donations to help Bill and Marisa with the extra costs associated with staying in Colorado an extra week, the special accommodations required to travel home, and especially the inevitable medical expenses. 

Many of you know Bill and Marisa as volunteers in our community. Bill is the co-president of the Franklin Township Soccer Club, serves on our town's recreation council, and has been a faithful volunteer at Pop Warner and with sports at our local schools. Marisa has been equally active in our town dedicating much of her spare time to executive positions at Pop Warner and Franklin Township High School where she's served as the president of the Booster Club for the past 5 years.
