<div>My name is Ashley Welcher. I am 26 years old and I am from Burlington, North Carolina. On September 19, 2024, my life changed forever. My 7-year-old son was outside playing like any happy, healthy kid does, and he was caught in the crossfire of someone discharging a firearm that was meant for someone else. <strong>My son was a very bright, sweet, happy young boy who had his whole life ahead of him, but that was unfortunately taken from him, and also taken from us.</strong> His official time and date of death is September 22, 2024, at 1:16 am. I would never wish this pain on anyone; it’s a pain you’ll never understand unless you have been through it. I’m not sure how I’ll ever be able to move forward without one of my three babies in my life and waking up every day to him not here. Parents should never have to bury their children.

<div>Everyone has been asking me if I have a GoFundMe so they could donate to help this tragic time be as stress-free as possible, along with me being out of work, possibly for a long period of time until I’m mentally able to return. <strong>His hospital bills are taken care of as well as the funeral, so these donations would simply only be for bills and anything I will need over that course of time for me and my two other children.</strong> If you choose to donate, know that it’s appreciated more than you’ll ever know, and if you can’t donate, a prayer will do just fine. Thanks to everyone praying for my family.
