Helping A New Family After A Fire In Oak Park
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 12, 2019, a fire raced through a six flat on Scoville Street in Oak Park, Illinois destroying all the possessions of young Minister Marshall Hatch Jr. and his wife Zulmarie who is 33 weeks pregnant with their first child. Zulmarie was treated for smoke inhalation and the baby checked out fine. But after investing their nest egg to move to Oak Park this year, they can use our help with the relocation expenses and rebuilding their family. Both Marshall and Zulmarie do important work. Marshall heads the New Mount Pilgrim Church “MAAFA Redemption Project”, an anti violence residential-employment program for high risk men 18-30 years old in West Garfield Park. Zulmarie manages an iMentor college readiness program in a near Westside charter school. This ask for assistance is not something they would do for themselves. Let’s do it for them. In this holy season, let’s help this couple prepare for their new baby and rebuild their lives as they invest their lives in serving others!
