I currently work part-time, which helps me stay involved in my children's lives, but unfortunately, it also means I don’t qualify for short-term disability benefits.

<div>I’ve recently been told that I need to undergo surgery. While it’s necessary for my health and future well-being, it also comes with a serious burden: I won’t be able to work during my recovery. With no paid leave, no disability coverage, and no family nearby to lean on, I’m facing several weeks without income—and no way to keep up with rent, groceries, or basic bills.
