Helping a family for the holiday get through.

This is a post directly from Giuseppe Donado's page on Facebook.  He is a friend, father, husband and genuine good guy.  He can use a little help.

As you can see he is only asking for us to send messages of support to his son.  He has not asked for help.  I want you to read in his own words what he and his wife, Melissa Skelly are going through.  I hope we can make a small impact in just helping them with Christmas and the small bills.  I asked him in advance for permission.  He is so thankful for the consideration and would never do this himself.  Thank you in advance for your time.   Read his post below:

Hey everybody. This year has been tough on everyone. My family in particular. On top of being out of work since the start of the pandemic, and going hard on the quarantine thing (due to my wife's kidney disease), She is now at the point of end stage kidney failure.

The good news is, I have finally been approved to be a donor, and we are so happy that she can eventually regain my health. But its a slow moving process.
The bad news is, she may end up on dialysis anyway, within a matter of days. It's not what we were hoping she'd end up doing this holiday season, but she fought as hard as she could to live as normal as possible. Her kidneys just aren't working anymore.

But this post is not about me. It's about my son, Gabe. This year has been particularly hard on him. His life, like many kids lives, has been turned upside down, but he's dealt with so much.

He hasn't really been able to see his friends and family much since March, because contracting COVID could be a death sentence for her at this point. I also know watching her struggle with her health has taken a toll on him.

Over the summer Gabe and I were in a car accident that left us with back injuries. We are grateful that we are OK, but I know the experience shook him. He's dealt with more than any kid should have to. But through it all, he still puts on a brave face and tries to make us laugh every day.

I am hoping that some of you can help me in bringing a little cheer to Gabe this holiday season. He feels so cut off from his social life and misses his friends and family very much, and I know hearing from his loved ones would make him so happy!

So if you could send him a note, a card, or anything to let him know you are thinking of him, it would really brighten up his holiday. He is such a good kid, and has sacrificed so much to help keep his mom safe. He's been such a trooper in all of this. He's so strong (like his Momma), but he deserves a little love and encouragement right now. I just want to do something to make him feel special because he is such an amazing kid!

Please PM me if you'd like to help me in making Gabe's smile a little brighter. Thank you. I hope you all have a Happy Holiday Season, and stay safe.
