Iain's Brain Surgery

Our friend Iain is 33, has 2 beautiful boys with his fiancée Leah and has been fighting brain cancer for 2 years. Iain has been the positive light in dark days of the unknown and with Leah by his side every step of the way, has endured a tough battle. He fought to regain his speech and memory after an 85% resection of his brain tumour; he had 30 days straight of radiotherapy while Leah was pregnant with their second child, he needed high doses of steroids which strained his body to the point he now suffers avascular necrosis and then had 12 long months of chemotherapy.

Just yesterday Iain had an apointment with Charlie Teo , to confirm what we were all hoping was not going to be real- they found another tumour in Iain's brain, they need to act very aggressively as when a grade 3 tumour returns, it normally turns into a grade 4 tumour. Charlie Teo is going to operate on the 28th February, the cost of this operation will be in excess of $80,000. We are trying to raise as much money as we possibly can to help fund this, as it is not possible for them to afford this life-saving surgery.

Leah has watched him lose himself, his job, his friends and all that made him, him.
Brain cancer doesn't just have an impact on your health; it affects your livelihood, changes every part of your life and makes you have no other choice but to fight. Iain’s brain cancer diagnosis has brought them to rock bottom but it won't beat them, it has put a fire in them to get Iain healthy for their sons.
