Just after midnight on July 12th, I was walking home in Baltimore City, as I have done hundreds of times, when I realized I was being followed. I attempted to evade them by zig-zagging, but they stuck with me. I attempted to run down through and alley but they caugh up with me. The knocked me to the ground, kicked me in the face and stomped on my chest until my collar bone broke. I was rescued by fellow citizen of Baltimore who was walking his dog.
I've been unemployed the entire summer and I have been unable to secure work as this is my last year of school. The job market right now is such that one needs a bachelor's just to get temp work and now with a temporary physical handicap I fear it is unlikely I will secure a job. I also can't freelance because I cannot hold or operate a camera effectively without the use of my entire right arm.
So over the past three days a lot people have asked if they can help and many have or will be soon.
I having a great deal of anxiety about making rent, paying the inevitable medical bills, replacing my glasses, etc.
This is rough estimate that will cover my share of the rent and bills, allow to get new glasses immediately, and perhaps snag some groceries.
NOTE: Any money beyond my initial goal will probably go towards the medical bills I have yet to get, and anything beyond that will probably go to a charity devoted to Baltimore Youth as yet to be determined.
