Relief for Harlee's Brain Surgeries

Harlee is my niece and the strongest 3-year-old girl I know. Three years into her life and she’s already had more than twice as many brain surgeries as birthdays. Yet somehow, Harlee has always managed to stay smiling and playful. It’s impossible to wear her out – she just wants to play, and play, and play some more.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Right now, Harlee can’t breathe on her own and her surgical team is still scrambling to find out why. Harlee was born with hydrocephalus and while there have always been some complications, the past two weeks have been the worst in her life. Last week she endured Brain Surgeries #6 and #7 for a revision and replacement of her shunt, ventilators, and a feeding tube. She has been under near constant sedation this entire time.
Her hospital stay is far from over. Next steps may include a more permanent feeding tube installed in her stomach, a tracheotomy, and an operation on her spinal cord. After that, more procedures will likely follow. Depending on the solutions found, the recovery period for Harlee will also take some time.
GOAL
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to help offset the costs surrounding her hospital stay. Her parents have been with her as much as is physically possible. We are already two weeks into her hospital stay. Two weeks of travel between Buffalo and Minneapolis. Two weeks of lost wages as her parents watch over her bedside.
And there will be more weeks to come.
This campaign will help pay for associated medical costs, rent, food, utilities, and travel as Ashley and Mitch care for their daughter. It will remove one more burden from their backs as they focus on what’s important: Helping Harlee to heal, and hopefully one day soon, breathe on her own again.
Donations will be set to direct deposit into the family's bank account.
