FRINGE: Comedy with Bangs! is packing up our pizza boxes and heading from Los Angeles to Australia for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and we need your help!
Who we are: FRINGE is a weekly live comedy show in Los Angeles; we have created a new platform to showcase international talent (Australian, and others) when they are in the Los Angeles area; and we pride our show on blending comedy styles from all over the world with talent from Los Angeles' rapidly expanding alternative scene.
What we're doing: We're bringing a touch of Hollywood to Melbourne, which will further cement our place as a home away from home for Aussie talent by creating a physical presence during the festival where we can showcase our favourite Aussies and incorporate the traditions and ideas we've gleaned from comedy scenes worldwide.
Oh, and we want to share it with you: We also plan to record our travels and conduct panel discussions and one-on-one interviews to be broadcast via podcast with some of the world's leading contributors to the world of comedy.
Friends of FRINGE include: Recent appearances by Wil Anderson, Sam Simmons, Felicity Ward, Dave Hughes, Rove McManus, Kyle Kinane, Tig Notaro, Eddie Ifft, Hannibal Buress, Aparna Nancherla, Iliza Shlesinger, Dave Merheje & DR BROWN (Phil Burgers) and we can't wait to bring this to all our of friends down under!

So where do I come in? We made it in but getting there isn't cheap. With the help of some wonderful friends our accomodation is covered but there's still a lot to consider. With your help we can cover the cost of transportation for JC and our producer Alexandra to bring the show over, as well as cover the expense of running the show, along with advertising and housing it.
What's in it for me? We have put our heads together to come up with some special incentives to say thank you for your support, so be sure to check those out if you ever wanted to have your photo taken with a guinea pig or the honour of having a reward named after your favourite celebrity child.
My money's a little tied up right now, but I still want to help: We would absolutely love it if you can help in other ways, such as asking your boss at the local sandwich shop to feed our guests and crew, or some advertising or PR you can throw us, that is all absolutely welcome and we have special rewards to thank you for that as well!
