Help Frank Beat Cancer

Frank (Frantisek) Jelinek, now 52, was born in the former Czechoslovakia "“ now the Czech Republic, on September 3, 1960, and is married to his lovely wife Bozena.

On August 22, 2012, Frank was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has metastasized to his liver. Frank hasn't felt well for quite some time, but this news is always quite shocking when revealed. Franks has multiple lesions in both lobes of his liver with the largest lesion measuring 3 cm. Frank also has a 3 cm lesion in his pancreas. While some physicians recommend chemotherapy, due to the type and advanced stage of cancer, Frank has chosen to utilize a more holistic approach and alternative methods of treatment to beat the disease. These treatments include juicing raw, organic fruits and vegetables, colon cleansing therapy, and vitamin and mineral supplements among others. Many have succeeded in beating cancer this way and so will Frank!

Frank has been having some good days, but unfortunately, many more are not so good filled with great physical and emotional pain. Because of Frank's illness, he is unable to work and is without any type of health insurance and is in need of financial assistance to help in his treatment and care during this challenging time. While his friend and family love him dearly, our resources are limited. Frank's wife, Bozena, continues to work, but due to the lack of work locally in her field, Bozena has had to find employment in New York while Frank stays with a friend in Florida. Needless to say, this is not the best scenario for Frank.

Frank moved to the United States in 1997 to East Hampton, New York to help with a friend's construction business. Frank is a carpenter by trade - and quite an excellent one! His attention to detail and special talent for finishing work shows in every job he has done. After living in New York for ten years, Frank was asked to go to a party in Sarasota, Florida. This party would be the best party he had ever been to, not because of the great friends there, food or drink, but because Frank met his wife to be, Bozena, that night at the party. Frank and Bozena were married within the next year in Sarasota, FL, where they both lived for two years.

Soon Bozena and Frank moved to Port Richey, Florida, but due to the economy and the lack of construction work, they were forced to move back to the North East to find work. Unfortunately, Frank had to work in Eastern Long Island, while Bozena found steady employment in New York. While they were several hours away, they still managed to spend all their weekends together. Due to the need for employment, Frank was forced to move back to Florida, but Bozena was had to keep working in New York.

Frank has always been a great athlete, so much so that he played semi-pro hockey while in the Czech Republic. His hobbies include all sports, both watching and participating.

We, Frank's friends and family, genuinely care for Frank and know that if anyone can beat this terrible disease, it is Frank! Please help us to help him get through this challenge and beat cancer.
