<div><strong>Julias Situation:</strong>

<div>Seit Januar 2022 trägt Julia eine <strong>feste Zahnspange</strong>, die ihr in einer Praxis in Stuttgart eingesetzt wurde. Nach über drei Jahren Behandlung und mehreren Komplikationen wurde ihre kieferorthopädische <strong>Betreuung</strong> im März <strong>plötzlich und unerwartet beendet – ohne Entfernung der Spange, ohne ärztliche Übergabe und ohne Nachsorge.</strong>

</div>
<div><strong>Seitdem verschlechtert sich ihr Zustand dramatisch</strong>. Die Zahnspange übt weiterhin Kräfte auf ihre Zähne aus – ohne jegliche medizinische Kontrolle. Unter anderem leidet Julia an:
</div>
<ul>
<li>starken Zahn-, Kiefer- und Gesichtsschmerzen (Kaumuskeln, Wangen, Schläfen) sowie gelegentlichen Schmerzen im Schädel und im Ohr
</li>
<li>sichtbaren Zahnverschiebungen
</li>
<li>Schwierigkeiten beim Kauen und Sprechen durch Zahnfehlstellungen
</li>
<li>CMD-Beschwerden
</li>
<li>lockeren Zähnen und dem Risiko, diese zu verlieren.

<div>Zusätzlich wurden während der Behandlung vier Zähne entfernt, deren Lücken durch das Vorschieben der Nachbarzähne geschlossen wurden – was zusammen mit der Tatsache, dass Julia <strong>fast vier Jahre lang keine festen Lebensmittel kauen durfte</strong>, zu erheblichen Veränderungen in Knochen- und Muskelstrukturen führte. Ihr <strong>Gesicht wirkt nun eingefallen</strong>, fast so, als wären Stellen, die vorher nicht da waren, plötzlich hohl. Ihre Kaumuskeln haben sich stark zurückgebildet, was Gesichtsasymmetrien, abgesunkene Mundwinkel, veränderte Lippen und ständige Schmerzen verursacht. Um den Kiefer zu stabilisieren, muss sie fast durchgehend spezielle Kinesio-Tapes tragen und begleitend Physiotherapie machen – eine <strong>starke tägliche Belastung</strong>.

<div>Julia fühlt sich dadurch unwohl, das Haus zu verlassen, und ihr <strong>Selbstwertgefühl</strong> hat sich aufgrund der Veränderungen in ihrem Gesicht <strong>verschlechtert</strong>.

<div>Auf den Fotos sind diese Veränderungen in Julias Gesicht erkennbar – eingefallene Bereiche und Asymmetrien, die durch den Muskelabbau, die Verschiebungen und die langen Behandlungsjahre entstanden. Medizinische Unterlagen und Scans, die die ausgeprägte Wurzelresorption dokumentieren, liegen vor und können bei Bedarf vertraulich eingesehen werden.

<div><strong>Mehrere Zahnärzte und Kieferorthopäden haben bestätigt, dass die Situation dringend ist.</strong> Es liegt bereits eine starke Wurzelresorption vor, also ein Abbau der Zahnwurzeln, der bleibende Schäden oder sogar Zahnverlust zur Folge haben kann.

<div>Obwohl ärztliche Hilfe dringend nötig wäre, lehnen viele Kieferorthopäden eine Übernahme des Falls ab – aus Sorge, für eventuelle Komplikationen oder Folgen der bisherigen Behandlung verantwortlich gemacht zu werden. <strong>Julia steht dadurch in einem medizinischen Vakuum: ohne Betreuung, aber mit akuter Not.</strong>

<div><strong>Julia’s Situation</strong>

<div>Since January 2022, Julia has been wearing fixed braces that were fitted at a practice in Stuttgart. After more than three years of treatment and several complications, her orthodontic care was suddenly and unexpectedly terminated in March — without removal of the braces, without medical handover, and without any follow-up care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, her condition has deteriorated dramatically. The braces continue to apply force to her teeth — without any medical supervision. Among other things, Julia suffers from:
</div>
<div>• severe tooth, jaw, and facial pain (chewing muscles, cheeks, temples) as well as occasional pain in the skull and ear
</div>
<div>• visible tooth misalignments
</div>
<div>• difficulties chewing and speaking due to malocclusion
</div>
<div>• temporomandibular joint (TMJ/CMD) issues
</div>
<div>• loose teeth and the risk of losing them
</div>

<div>In addition, four teeth were removed during the treatment, and the resulting gaps were closed by moving the neighboring teeth forward — which, combined with the fact that Julia was not allowed to chew solid foods for almost four years, has led to significant changes in bone and muscle structures. Her face now appears sunken, as if areas that were once full have suddenly become hollow. Her chewing muscles have severely atrophied, causing facial asymmetries, drooping corners of the mouth, altered lips, and constant pain. To stabilize her jaw, she must wear special kinesio tapes almost continuously and undergo physiotherapy — an exhausting daily burden.

<div>Because of these changes, Julia no longer feels comfortable leaving the house, and her self-esteem has suffered greatly due to the visible changes in her face.
</div>

<div>The photos show these changes — sunken areas and asymmetries caused by muscle loss, shifting, and the long treatment period. Medical records and scans documenting the severe root resorption are available and can be reviewed confidentially if needed.
</div>

</div>
<div>Several dentists and orthodontists have confirmed that the situation is urgent. There is already severe root resorption — a breakdown of the tooth roots — which can lead to permanent damage or even tooth loss.
</div>

<div>Why Support Is Needed
</div>

<div>Although urgent medical help is required, many orthodontists refuse to take over the case — out of concern that they could be held responsible for complications or consequences arising from the previous treatment. As a result, Julia is stuck in a medical vacuum: without care, yet in acute distress.
