Medical Care for Heather Grossman

The children of Heather Grossman - Joseph, Ronald and Lauren - are writing this as a last resort effort to get assistance for our family.
For those of you who don’t know, our mom, Heather Grossman, is a brave survivor of years of severe domestic violence and attempted murder by our biological father over 21 years ago. His crime left her as a C2 quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down and on a breathing machine, requiring 24-hour nursing care.
By the grace of God and the dedication, sacrifice and selflessness of our grandparents, we’re happy to report that our Mother is still alive and well, defying the odds of all doctors that conservatively said she would only live for 7 years.
When our mother became a quadriplegic, our grandparents, without hesitation, chose to dedicate their lives by moving to Arizona and using all their life savings to keep us out of foster care and provide for our mother’s very expensive medical necessities. We have been fortunate enough to have most of our mother’s expenses paid through our grandparent’s small family sandal business.
Unfortunately, in October of 2017, our grandfather was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer that then spread to his brain and other parts of his body after receiving both Chemotherapy and Radiation. He lost his battle to cancer last week, Thursday, June 21, 2018. While he was fighting for his life, our 76-year-old grandma was unable to keep the sandal business running on her own and to make matters worse, the manufacturer decided to retire and close all operations. We have searched high and low but have been unable to find a substitute manufacturer. As a result, the income that was previously used to provide for our mother’s care is no longer available and we fear it will substantially affect her treatment and health.
Our family is at a point of true need and we are coming to you - our family, friends, and community - to ask for any assistance you may be able to provide. Contributions donated to our cause will help pay for medical bills and nursing care, which will allow us to continue to keep our mother alive.
