Help for George Ganska

Saturday October 12, 2013: now a date that, for two reasons, lives in infamy for the Ganska family.
The first reason, a happy occasion. Karl Ganska, amongst family and friends, exchanged vows with his wife Dominique and her three children. During the reception that followed, they announced that a baby girl will also be joining the family in the early months of 2014!
The second reason, a tragedy. George Ganska was in a horrific motorcycle accident. News came shortly after five in the evening that George was unconscious and being air-lifted to a level-II trauma center. His injuries literally range from head-to-toe, including broken bones and a severely traumatic brain injury that leaves him unable to recognize his son, daughter or granddaughter.
George, like many Americans, did not have current health care coverage. After running his own successful business, he had recently started a new job and was two weeks short of enrolling in their benefit program. George will require a lengthy hospital stay which will entail an un-known number of surgeries; hours of extensive physical and occupational therapies as well as persistent neurological rehabilitation.
George's two children, Karl and Kathy, have assumed responsibility for the day-to-day necessities of their Dad. They will endure maintaining their own households as well as their Dad's affairs. Days of work will be missed, miles will be added to the family cars, nights will go by without sleep and bills will be delivered to the mailbox.
On a beautiful fall day that should have been full of celebration, George's family experienced anguish. A fiercely independent man, that would have offered you a helping hand, is no longer able to care for himself. Let's pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and help George!
