Help for Dingus
Meowllo everyone! My name is Dingus Arnold Morton-Bivens. I wandered for a long time, then finally I found a family of my own to take me in last November. I charmed them with my dashing demeanor and lots of kisses- they took me in and started to get me care. Then through no fault of my own I lost them due to a sudden death soon after. I went missing for several months. I was so scared and hungry and COLD! Boy was it cold! A nice lady looked and looked and looked for me, but I was stuck somewhere and could not come to her. See, it was dangerous for me to be out on my own. It's dangerous for any kitty, but I have something called FIV and also a big tumor in my right foot. It's about the size of one of my toy balls (man I love those things!) and hard as bone.
I finally got out of where I was, and a kind neighbor saw me and I ran to him and cried and told him to find my family that I had worked so hard to find. He called the nice lady who had been looking for me and she came right away. I was dehydrated and starving. As soon as I saw my new Mom, I immediately started purring and kneading and talking to her. I knew she would help me. We went somewhere called "emergency clinic" and I got some fluids and a look over. My tumor had grown, and I could tell my new Mommy was very sad about that. She took me home, gave me the yummiest food I have ever had (it's called "salmon"), and I curled up exhausted and content and slept for a very, very long time.
Soon, we went to see two more vets. Man, I love vets! They are so nice and always tell me how good of a boy I am! The only thing is... the nice man vet says I need a lot of tests to figure out what the mass in my foot is so he can figure out how best to help me. There is hope though- I am only five years old and he has seen another kitty like me a long time ago who lived for many years with treatment. There's even talk of me getting a special new foot depending on what my mass is made of!
There is only one problem- these tests and my care are very expensive. My Mommy never expected to get a kitty like me so she isn't prepared. We need your help to figure out what's wrong with me so I can live for a long time. I have so many things to live for- my warm bed, soft strokes on my fur, "salmon", my toys. I really want to see how that TV show "Pretty Little Liars" turns out! I mean who IS this A person?

Dingus is such an amazing little dude, and he has nowhere to go but with me. I have made this page from the encouragement of friends who said they would like to help offset his veterinary care. If you'd like to donate, we would certainly appreciate it. If not, no harm no foul! It is likely I will have spent enough to buy a car by the time we reach the end of our journey, and it's important that we get started sooner rather than later. While he's worth it, Mommy is not Bob Barker- though I do encourage you to spay and neuter your pets :)!
