Aaron has a condition called Sprengels Deformity. We noticed limited movement to his right side when he was only a couple of months old.
Sprengels deformity is a congential deformity in which the shoulder blade did not move to correct position when he was still an embroyo.
Other areas effected include his spine, he has spina bifidia occulta located in the upper part of his spine. He has a VSD in his heart that is monitored and we are hoping he will not need surgery to correct.
We have traveled to Boston Children's since Aaron was 15 months old He is now 6 and we are planning on surgery on May 14, 2015.
His Father and I are not able to both stay at the hospital and one of us will need to stay in a hotel room. We are also looking large deductible to pay out of pocket.
We are looking at an extensive recovery with physical therapy after surgery and then monthly trips to Boston to follow up with his surgeon.
