Hi, my name is Faline. I am 19. I was born in Haiti, raised in France. I just graduated from Black Forest Academy in Germany and I recently moved to Fresno, California with the dream of attending Beauty School. I have visited a couple schools and Lyles College of Beauty School seems to be the best one for me. I have had the chance to see a little bit of the school in action, and like the teachers I've met so far, the environment, and how close it is to my house. I look forward to learning all that they have to offer in the Cosmetology program.
The Director of Lyles has worked hard to find as much financial aid for me as possible. And so most of my tuition is already covered by aid, which I am thankful for. If I can raise the remainder of the fee, I can focus solely on school and not on trying to work and attend school at the same time.
If I get an opportunity to attend this school, I'd love to have you over for a free haircut!
The total cost of the one year Cosmetology program is around $18,000. I have been awarded $11,000. I need to raise $7000 to cover the remainder of my program. This includes the kit and all of my books (which are over $1000 in cost). I hope to raise an additional $800 to cover the GoFundMe fees (around 8%) and a small amount to get additional supplies I might need throughout the year.
I hope to begin school on October 16th. My first payment of $583 is due sometime in October, in addition to a $100 orientation fee, and $20 exam fee.
I will owe $583 every month for 12 months. My goal is to raise the full $7800 in the next 30 days to pay off my schooling and not worry about payments or need a loan.
